  • HOW CAN WE SERVE PROPHETICALLY IN OUR MODERN WORLD WITHOUT BEING A PROPHET?

    Dr Kelvin Friebel Lecture videos

How can a modern Christian serve prophetically, standing for truth and offering hope, without being a prophet? In this course, we will explore the Book of Jeremiah to learn how to:

    - Hold God's people accountable for their sins
    - Oppose political and religious leadership
    - Use persuasive techniques in delivering messages
    - Navigate difficult ministry situations when no one listens
    - Offer hope after judgment

In 586 BC, the kingdom of Judah fell, Jerusalem was destroyed, and the people were exiled. In the midst of this crisis, Jeremiah proclaimed God's messages of judgment and restoration. We will examine his prophetic proclamation, literary structure, and practical lessons that can guide us in ministry today.

    • PROHVETI ROLL VANAS TESTAMENDIS

    • THE ROLE OF THE PROPHET IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
Old Testament prophets served as intermediaries between God and His people, delivering divine messages. They functioned as both messengers, proclaiming God’s word, and intercessors, pleading on behalf of the people. Their primary role was to call Israel to faithfulness and interpret God's actions in history.

    • THE CALL AND COMMISSIONING OF JEREMIAH
Jeremiah was called by God to be a prophet before he was born, receiving a divine commission to speak to nations. His call narrative emphasizes God's empowerment and assurance despite Jeremiah’s initial reluctance. God promises to be with him, strengthening him to proclaim His message in the face of opposition.

    • JEREMIAH'S MESSAGE OF JUDGMENT AND HOPE Jeremiah warned Judah of impending judgment due to their unfaithfulness, calling them to repentance. Despite his harsh messages, he also spoke of future restoration and God’s enduring covenant. His prophecy balanced divine justice with the promise of renewal for God's people.
