Section outline

  • The closing section of the Gospel of Matthew is used to explore the disciples’ doubts, the resurrection of Jesus, and the Great Commission. Discussion highlights how faith and doubt can exist together within the spiritual journey of a Christian believer. Emphasis is placed on the fact that Jesus calls and sends imperfect people who still wrestle with questions and uncertainty. Personal struggles, fears, and questions of faith are viewed in the light of God’s presence, grace, and faithfulness.
